New Members Ed and Joy Hind
We are Joy and Ed Hind and the good ship “Arabella”, a 1983 42’ Classic. We have recently moved from Vienna, Virginia into our new home on the Great Wicomico River near Heathsville, Virginia. This is transition time for us as we approach retirement from our second career, the first being 30 years in the US Air Force and the second an international business consultant in Crystal City. Arabella is spending her last winter at her marina in Pasadena, MD before taking up permanent residence at our pier. We have been boating on the Bay for ten years with a couple of interludes to cruise the ICW to visit Joy’s family at St Simons Island, GA which is also Ed’s original home. We are looking forward to the change of scenery as we explore the middle bay and enjoy being in closer proximity to the routes South – can winters in the Bahamas be far away?
Our favorite pastimes are boating (of course) and playing with our new home on the river. Four grandkids and their parents in Northern Virginia share our enthusiasm for boating and life on the river. We look forward to knowing more GB boating pals and sharing quality time together on the water.
