New Members John and Dianne Kernan

We just bought a new GB47 Europa from Classic Yachts International in Ft. Lauderdale. We plan to keep the boat on the East Coast and cruise Florida/Bahamas in the winter and the Chesapeake Bay in the spring and summer. The boat is named Wanderer V.

We have had three sailboats (Wanderers I, II and III) and also have a converted 1962 Greyhound Bus (Wanderer IV). We have a collection of classic cars which we tour around the U.S., Canada and Europe. We have just now come over the the "dark side" after 30 years of sailing.

We both grew up in Baltimore and met when we worked at McCormick. Thirty years ago we moved away and have lived in San Diego for the last twenty years. John has started several high tech companies and now invests in Internet startups. Dianne was a political fund raiser. We are both retired now.

We have sailed in Europe, Australia, Asia, and all over the Caribbean. The new GB47 will allow us to explore the Chesapeake Bay now, something that we wished we did more of when we lived in Baltimore.
