New Members Larry and Marge McCarthy
We are Larry and Marge McCarthy. We have lived in Bristol, PA, on the Delaware River, since moving from Washington Crossing, PA in 2001.
Our search for a GB started in the Chesapeake Bay area but ended in Cape Cod, MA. We saw "No Regrets", a 46' Classic, at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy and knew she was exactly what we were looking for. We took ownership in November of 2008. We previously owned a 43' DeFever, the "Margaret D".
The year 2009 has been a transition year for us, we made some positive changes to our hectic lives. Marge retired from Bristol-Myers Squibb in NJ. Larry retired from our family business "McCarthy Industrial Services". Larry still works part-time, he has his USCG MM100T Captain's license and is one of the captains on the Philadelphia pilot boat. We will now have more time for our family, our friends and cruising the Chesapeake Bay.
Larry's love for the water started at a very young age. He and his four brothers grew up on the water. His dad always had boats and week-ends were spent in Boston Harbor and summers on Cape Cod. Larry introduced Marge to boating.
We are looking forward to making friends and boating with other GB owners.
